I own a signed silverprint of this photo given to United Air Lines LaGuardia manager Bill Maxwell in 1939 for his help assisting Bork White. One heck of a photo from one of America's greatest photographers.
I found this site because I am enthralled by this plane. I love the Thirties, and I love Art Deco.
Please know, however, that the headline speaks of a $1.25M plane. uite the heady sum in its day.
